1. Objectives
The Tax Practice Sub-committee
(TPC) is established mainly to deal with the tax practice issues faced by
practitioners with the aim to maintain and enhance their professional
competency.
2. Accountability
The Committee will report to the Council.
3. Scope and Authority

Formulate, review and recommend to the Government comprehensive
and constructive proposals for licensing purposes consistent
with the interest of the nation and profession. |

Act as a conduit to allow our members to channel their views on
tax practice matters and maintain regular dialogues with the
relevant tax authorities. |

Monitor official statements on tax practice matters and issue
comments and circulars where appropriate. |
|
- |
To promote good practice etiquette, robust risk management as
well as to encourage compliance with the specific licensing
conditions applicable to tax practitioners. |

To identify CPE programme for the benefit of tax practitioners
as well as to enhance the quality of tax practitioners' work. |

4. Term of Office

a) Composition |
|
|
|
|
|
The composition of the Committee shall be determined by the Nominating
Committee of the Institute. |
|
|
|
|
|
b) Quorum |
|
|
|
|
|
The quorum for the Committee meetings shall be 4 members (inclusive of
Chairperson). |
|
|
|
|
|
c) Meetings |
|
|
|
|
|
The Committee shall meet at least three (3) times in the financial year
of the Institute. |
