To provide a
qualification to be known as Accounting Technicians/Administrators for
persons employed on duties customarily undertaken by assistants to
accountants registered with the MIA. |

provide an organisation and membership for such persons who are desirous
of acquiring such qualification and persons who are granted such
qualification. |

To
promote in the public interest the technical competence of such persons
engaged in positions and performing the functions of accounting
technicians/administrators. |
